Carbon Engineering Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Patent Specialist to join our team. As a Patent Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing and supporting our intellectual property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IP strategies to support business growth and expansion
• Contribute to the development of invention disclosure forms (IDFs) and patent applications
• Draft and prosecute patent applications
• Provide IP awareness and support to internal teams
• Research and analyze IP landscapes and present results to senior management
• Collaborate with legal, technical, commercial, and business development teams to prepare technical reports

Requirements:

• BASc/BEng degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of work experience in a mechanical or chemical field
• Expertise in patent drafting for filing in USA and Canada preferred
• Ability to distill complex problems into simple solutions
• Experience working directly with inventors to distill inventions into patent applications

• Base salary for an Intermediate level role is $93,330 to $122,000 with additional bonus pay
