About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at Filpro General Construction. As a Tile Installer, you will be responsible for installing tile surfaces in commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and measure surfaces to be covered with tile
  • Mix and apply adhesives, and spread them using a hand trowel
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
  • Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces
  • Install tile strips
Work Environment

As a Tile Installer at Filpro General Construction, you will work in a fast-paced commercial and residential construction environment. You will be required to work on-site, often at heights, and in various weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in tile installation
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Attention to detail
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Physically demanding work environment
