Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Vancouver Coastal Health, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and interdisciplinary care team. Your role will involve providing optimal care for clients with stable or predictable health states within a designated area of care.



About the Role

This LPN position is based in Powell River and is part of Vancouver Coastal Health's commitment to providing high-quality care to the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating client care, as well as providing support to clients and their families.



Key Responsibilities

  • Work independently and collaboratively as a member of an inter-professional care team to deliver high-quality client care.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care, as well as document client information.
  • Provide support to clients and their families, as well as collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal client outcomes.
  • Maintain and advance clinical competence in line with the standards of practice for LPNs.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a recognized program in Practical Nursing and be registered with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives. You will also need to have a valid B.C. driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes. In addition, you will need to have demonstrated knowledge of principles of mental health treatment within a client and family model of care, as well as comprehensive knowledge of other healthcare disciplines and their role in client care.
