Senior Computer Application Support Job Description

Adecco Canada is currently recruiting for a Senior Computer Application Support professional to join our team. This is a 12-month onsite contract opportunity with our government client in Ottawa, ON.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure Oracle 12.2.1.4, including standing up the WebLogic domain, database, JDK, and supporting SOA suite and OSB in all supported environments.
  • Deploy production interfaces on the upgraded Oracle platform.
  • Execute test cases per interface and test backup recovery steps.
  • Communicate with the Technical Authority to explain upgrade/migration strategy/plan and obtain approval.
  • Resolve issues while upgrading the infrastructure and redeploying interfaces on all environments.
  • Perform technical and root-cause analysis on issues and provide recommendations.
  • Provide status updates on upgrade activities during project stand-up meetings.
  • Update step-by-step documentation on all changes.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Masters or bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering from a recognized university or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience within the last 10 years with enterprise Service Bus technology like Oracle Service Bus & Oracle SOA/BPM Suite 12.2.1.4 on Windows Server 2019.
  • At least 6 years of experience within the last 10 years with programming languages/technologies like Java/J2EE, JMS, WSDL, SoapUI, Servlets, SOA, Struts, XQuery, XSLT, JDeveloper 12c, Oracle ADF.
  • At least 6 years of experience within the last 10 years with database like Oracle 11g.
  • At least 6 years of experience within the last 10 years with virtualization/cloud computing platforms like Oracle Cloud, Oracle VM Server, Oracle VBox, Amazon EC2, VMware ESX.
  • Valid Secret Clearance.
