Maintenance Porter

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Porter to join our team at Econo Lodge Inn & Suites - High Level. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our hotel.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Cleaning and maintaining the interior and exterior of the hotel, including hallways, floors, stairs, and guest rooms;
• Operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt;
• Emptying trash cans and other waste containers;
• Washing windows, walls, and ceilings;
• Making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems;
• Contacting tradespersons for major repairs;
• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair;
• Watering and tending to plants, lawns, and gardens;
• Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and fixtures;
• Working with minimal supervision;
• Cleaning snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
• Experience in a related field, an asset;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision;
• Strong communication and teamwork skills;
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
