Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Summary:

IBM Computing is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As an Application Developer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing customized systems in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Cognos and Watson AI Assistant applications that capture real-world customer scenarios.
  • Support internal product implementations and provide feedback on ease of use and feature functionality.
  • Gather requirements and solicit feedback to drive improvements in modeling, design, development, testing, integration, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Development and Product Management teams to provide input on new features and services.

Requirements:

  • Excellent understanding of Cognos Analytics - Reporting and Dashboarding.
  • Experience dealing with real-world customer use cases.
  • Experience with data modules and FM Packages.
  • Familiarity with automating in scripting languages (e.g., Python, shell script, etc.).
  • Familiarity with JSON and XML.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Full stack knowledge of Cognos Analytics.
  • Experience with AI, Unix, TestRail, Jira, Git, Jenkins, Docker.
  • Experience with Public Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud).

Location Statement:

Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.

This role will involve working with technology that is covered by Export Regulations sanctions. If you are a Foreign National from any of the following US sanctioned countries (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions of Ukraine) on a work permit, you are not eligible for employment in this position.
