Responsibilities



  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Monitor patients' condition and respond to changes in their status
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Requirements



  • Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Coronary Care Level 1 certification (required), Level 2 certification (preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or completion within 3 months
  • Experience with arterial lines and central lines maintenance
  • Experience in a critical care setting (preferred)
  • Critical Care Certificate or commitment to enrollment and completion within 6 months
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize care and adapt to unexpected changes in patient acuity
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Acceptable performance and attendance records

Competitive salary range: $39.07 - $56.00 per hour
