We are seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team in Burnaby, BC.

As a Medical Lab Technologist at LifeLabs, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely diagnostic testing and reporting. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will contribute to patient well-being and better health outcomes.

This is a Full-Time Float position with flexible shift work, offering a healthy work-life balance. Our facilities serve as teaching laboratories, providing opportunities to share knowledge, collaborate with colleagues, and mentor students.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing
  • Performing, interpreting, and releasing results while ensuring patient confidentiality
  • Identifying incidents, developing corrective action plans, and driving continuous improvement
  • Assisting with technology evaluation and implementation
  • Participating in problem-solving and workflow optimization

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and experience
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders
  • Good computer skills and knowledge
  • Problem-solving skills, including issue identification and follow-up
  • Ability to maintain high standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality

LifeLabs offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $32.99 - $40.70 per hour. In addition to a comprehensive benefits plan, you will have access to tuition reimbursement, employee wellness programs, and opportunities for advancement.
