Dental Care Specialist

A Dental Care Specialist is needed to provide dental services at a local detention facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing primary dental care, including x-rays and health promotions to inmates. The dentist will be responsible for managing all aspects of dental care services, including coordination of care provided by dental specialists to inmates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary dental care, including x-rays and health promotions to inmates.
- Manage all aspects of dental care services, including coordination of care provided by dental specialists to inmates.
- Document all dental care in the dental records folder in compliance with relevant legislation and professional standards of practice.
Requirements:
- Holds a certificate of registration issued by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO).
- Minimum of three years experience providing dental services.
- Valid CPR and First Aid.
- Ability to obtain a Vulnerable sector check and a OPP Security Screening Level 3.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with people with addictions.
- Experience working with people experiencing mental health issues.
- Experience with urgent / acute dental care.
- Experience in providing dental care for marginalized and diverse populations.
