Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Mill Construction Expert

About the Role:

The EightSix Network is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the mill construction project. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale projects in the mining or construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Oversee a multidisciplinary project team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the owners' team, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Ensure all construction activities meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety on-site, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the owners' team, including financial reporting, schedule updates, and risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in the mining or construction industry, with a proven track record in managing large-scale projects.
  • Prior expat experience in developing countries.
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Must have a project background in mining, ideally involving mills or plants.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a challenging environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
