Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
  • Wound Care: Provide wound care and dressing changes, promoting healing and preventing infection.
  • Mobility and Transfers: Assist residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Meal Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve meals to residents, promoting nutrition and hydration.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain a clean and comfortable environment, performing light housekeeping and laundry duties.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Nursing Aide Certificate.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check, immunization records, vulnerable sector check, and tuberculosis test.
