Job Description

As an Urban Planner, you will be part of our dynamic placemaking team based in Vancouver.

You will have the opportunity to work on projects throughout the lower mainland and BC, leading and supporting initiatives that shape the future of our cities.

Role Accountabilities
  • Participate in a broad range of projects, including feasibility studies, community policy initiatives, TOD projects, master plans, and development approvals.
  • Lead and support stakeholder engagement for placemaking projects.
  • Define outreach strategies and draft engagement/communication plans.
  • Plan, manage, and facilitate physical and online engagement processes.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our Indigenous Engagement practice.
  • Network and build relationships with current and prospective clients and other strategic contacts.
  • Represent our practice/projects at conferences or other events.
Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 3-10 years of experience in planning, urban design, or applied professions.
  • Eligibility for Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designation.
  • An accredited degree in Urban Planning; a master's degree is an asset.
  • IAP2 certification is an asset.
  • Familiarity with provincial planning legislation and the development approval process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
