Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Loss Prevention Associate to join our team at Uniqlo Canada. As a Loss Prevention Associate, you will be responsible for implementing and executing all Loss Prevention initiatives and policies within your assigned location, in partnership with Store Management and the Area Loss Prevention Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Loss Prevention Program Implementation: Implement and execute all Loss Prevention initiatives and policies within your assigned location, in partnership with Store Management and the Area Loss Prevention Manager.
- Training and Development: Assist Store Manager and Area Loss Prevention Manager with training of store personnel on Loss Prevention policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Shoplifter Detection and Apprehension: Detect and identify shoplifters and safely apprehend subjects or recover merchandise in accordance with Federal and Provincial laws, as well as company and department policy.
- Loss Reduction Initiatives: Implement loss reduction initiatives in partnership with store teams and Loss Prevention senior management, and follow up as necessary throughout the inventory cycle to ensure compliance and report progress to the Store Manager, Area Loss Prevention Manager, and others as directed.
- Technology Utilization: Utilize Loss Prevention technology equipment, including CCTV, Access Control, EAS, and exception-based reporting systems, to identify and act on loss and safety issues within assigned location.
- Inventory Management: Utilize the store RFID Inventory system and provide training to store team members on an ongoing basis, and correct and resolve operational issues in partnership with the store team, Area Loss Prevention Manager, and the LP Inventory Accuracy team.
- Communication and Collaboration: Regularly communicate with other LP team members, and support cross-communication between store team members, and other departments to identify common issues.
- Minimum 5+ years of related experience in Loss Prevention or Asset Protection in a multi-unit capacity.
- Full understanding of Canadian federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations regarding apprehensions, safety, and all aspects of Loss Prevention.
- Provincially licensed is also a requirement for this role.
- Proven ability to interface with law enforcement and legal professionals on both criminal and civil matters.
- Experience with Loss Prevention technology and methods, including CCTV, covert surveillance, EAS, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection systems.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and inventory accuracy principles considered an asset, including familiarity with RFID technology.
- Knowledge and familiarity with using MS Office and G-suite.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
- Must be able to stand/walk for entire shift and be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

- Competitive compensation range of $20 - $22 per hour commensurate with experience.
