NFI Industries is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Supervisor to lead our warehouse team in the efficient day-to-day operation of the facility. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising warehouse personnel, achieving daily production goals, and ensuring the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse.

About the Role:

  • We are offering a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing shipping and receiving work schedules and assignments to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Supervise all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure they are correct and carried out in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that equipment is utilized in the most efficient manner and coordinate maintenance with management.
  • Review daily work objectives and determine productivity requirements to produce during the shift to meet overall building objectives.
  • Partner with other leaders to balance labor and ensure appropriate levels of staffing.
  • Draft and submit daily end-of-shift reports and make recommendations to management on initiatives to improve operations.

Employee Relations/Development:

  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings covering previous shifts' productivity, operational problems, forecasting workload, and company information.
  • Assist in developing training programs to motivate personnel for increased effectiveness.
  • Manage and maintain good human resources practices with direct reports and adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
  • Work with management and HR to resolve employee relation issues, discipline actions, problem resolution, and terminations.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, guidance, and recognition to enhance personnel's skill development.

Safety and Security:

  • Ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse to meet service standards.
  • Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Follow documented processes for reporting, analyzing, and following up on employee injuries and accidents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or at least 1-5 years of supervisory experience.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan preferred).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
  • Experience with seasonal workforce or desire to learn performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean/Six Sigma tools.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse/mechanical equipment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations, and willingness to become certified as necessary.
