About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at United Rentals. As a Service Technician IV, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing complex equipment, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, mechanical systems, and hydraulic equipment, using advanced diagnostic techniques and tools.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Training and Development: Assist in the training of lower-level technicians, sharing your expertise and knowledge to ensure the success of our team.
  • Documentation and Administration: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including work orders and maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Equipment Management: Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts, ensuring timely and efficient service to our customers.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment and tools.
  • Skills: Advanced mechanical aptitude, working knowledge of tools, and extensive knowledge of construction equipment, including schematics and diagrams.
  • Tools and Equipment: Must own tools applicable to the position.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
