About the Role

We are seeking a Senior R&D Engineering Director to lead our team of R&D Engineers in the design and development of next-generation steerable sheaths. As a key member of our Access Solutions team, you will be responsible for ensuring program objectives are met, logistics are effectively coordinated, and budgets are adhered to.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive innovation and excellence in R&D engineering
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to direct reports to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions to complex engineering problems
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as ISO 13485 and IEC 62366
  • Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders, including customers, management, and colleagues
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in new product development of single-use medical devices
  • Experience as a Manager or Technical Lead
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Detailed understanding of design control process and regulatory requirements
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 10-15%

$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
