Job Title: Design Manager - Healthcare Projects

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the development of design build proposals for P3 and other design build projects
  • Lead the design team in developing compliant and aggressive design solutions in response to RFP requirements
  • Analyze project requirements and develop a strategy focused on winning the opportunity
  • Develop submissions and presentations for RFP periods
  • Collaborate with the design team to review and assess all RFP documentation and requirements
  • Develop and coordinate documentation of the proposed design to support estimating the project cost
  • Develop technical submissions including design and construction narratives and drawing packages
  • Develop project schedules and project logistic plans based on requirements and proposed design in coordination with the proposed project execution team
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partner consultants and design build trade contractors
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment with mechanical and electrical design managers, project estimators, capital development directors, marketing teams, legal teams, and facility management teams
Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of experience in design build management
  • Construction-related degree
  • Proven track record of meeting scope requirements and milestones
  • Working knowledge of construction scopes and activities, scheduling, project management, and contract software
  • Ability to mentor and delegate to a large team while developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Experience in design build/construction management delivery models/contracts
  • Experience in acute healthcare renovations/new builds
  • Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills
