Job Summary

The Millwright Specialist will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment and machinery. This is a critical role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance
    • Install and maintain industrial equipment and machinery, including electrical and electronic controls.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and inspection.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting
    • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues with industrial equipment and machinery.
    • Use specialized tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair problems.
  • Fabrication and Fabrication Support
    • Fabricate parts and components required for equipment maintenance and repair.
    • Provide technical support for fabrication and manufacturing processes.
  • Estimation and Cost Control
    • Estimate costs and materials required for equipment maintenance and repair.
    • Control costs and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience
    • Operate and maintain a variety of industrial equipment and machinery, including hoisting and lifting equipment.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
  • Security and Safety
    • Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
    • Stand for extended periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability
    • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    Requirements
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance and repair.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
