Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Overhead Door Service Technician to join our team at Northern Dock Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing loading dock and door equipment, ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair loading dock and door equipment, including overhead doors, commercial doors, and loading dock equipment.
  • Work with our coordinators to ensure timely and efficient delivery of parts and equipment.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify and report any issues or concerns with equipment or processes to management.
  • Supervise and train apprentices as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work truck and ensure all necessary tools and equipment are on hand.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in the overhead door and loading dock industry.
  • Highly proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Sound mechanical knowledge and electrical knowledge is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Basic computer knowledge to complete daily work.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
