Job Description:Company Overview: At RhynoCare, we are committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to our community. Our team is dedicated to delivering compassionate and individualized care to our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and within the scope of practice of an RPN.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure excellent nursing and personal care in assigned home areas.
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered.
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
- Ensure supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, ensuring protocols are followed on all assigned shifts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
- BLS Certificate.
- Valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), proof of negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to work flexible shift times, eight hours or twelve hours in length.
- Must be able to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
