Fitzrovia, a leading vertically integrated development and asset management company in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Montreal, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Surveyor.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Construction Surveyor. As a key member of our site services team, you will be responsible for overseeing all surveying activities on our construction sites.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Acquire site measurements and readings required for projects or stages of construction
  • Generate reports and findings comparing data to master models
  • Complete various field survey requests and measurements as assigned
  • Provide site layouts for various stages of construction activities
  • Coordinate and undertake planning and implementation of survey requirements
  • Mark and label survey points, gridlines, and record field data according to job specifications
  • C coordinate and maintain control network surveys, including traversing and levelling
  • Review subtrade work to ensure consistency and quality of all work
  • Conduct surveys of existing site geometry and features
  • Ability to work with interior and exterior site conditions year-round
  • Maintain and calibrate survey equipment
  • Provide clear survey notes and sketches for each layout complete
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years progressive experience in site services and working in and around residential type sites and towers
  • Skills: Knowledge of the construction industry and construction specifications, methods, and procedures; ability to read and accurately interpret construction drawings; experience with operating total station, GPS & other survey equipment; technical understanding of software such as Revit and AutoCAD
