Job Title: Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier, On-call Relief

Description:

Canada Post is seeking dependable individuals to deliver mail on an on-call basis to various communities. As an on-call relief Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier, you will work independently, operating a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Sort, collect, and deliver mail items in a safe and timely manner.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles.
  • Ensure mail is safely secured during delivery and collection.
  • Process various CPC products and services, such as Change of Address Notification and Damaged Mail.
  • Lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg.
  • Deliver mail in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters).
  • A valid permanent provincial driver's license - class 5 or G.
  • A satisfactory safe driving record.

What to Expect:

If selected, you will be required to provide the following documents: your resume and a current driver's abstract dated within the last 30 days.

This position may be considered a Safety Sensitive position and has additional requirements under Canada Post's Substance Use Policy.
