Swim Instructor/Lifeguard

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Swim Instructor/Lifeguard to join our team at Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS). As a key member of our recreation and fitness team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons and supervising pool activities to ensure the safety of our military members and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver swimming lessons for participants of all ages and skill levels
  • Supervise pool activities and ensure the safety of swimmers
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations
  • Teach participants how to swim and promote water safety awareness
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement recreation and fitness programs
Requirements
  • Current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certification
  • Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
  • Current recognized Swim Instructor certification
  • Experience in dealing with the public, including children
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
