Finance Role

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong organizational and communication abilities. They will be responsible for managing project accounting functions, producing financial reports, and contributing to the development of financial policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee project accounting, including weekly timesheet management, monthly billing, project budgeting, revenue recognition, and project and staffing resourcing
  • Prepare timely and accurate project financial reports, variance analysis reports, and support fee forecasting
  • Collaborate with project managers to enhance project profitability and address challenges
  • Contribute to the creation, improvement, and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and processes

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting/Business or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in a professional services firm or architectural/design firm
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
