We're seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment or Agricultural Service Technician to join our team at our Truro, NS location.

Job Description

This role involves performing complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and dealer-owned agricultural equipment. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and may require some direction from the Service Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting in-depth diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and AMS products
  • Participating in ongoing training programs to develop skills and knowledge
  • Performing field repairs as required
  • Supporting customer clinics
  • Staying up-to-date with company products and services
  • Maintaining vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
  • Ensuring a clean and organized work area
  • Following safety protocols and regulations
  • Completing reports and forms related to work assignments
  • Tracking time and materials used
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in service repair
  • Ability to perform complex repairs using special tools and equipment
  • Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Excellent vehicle operation and diagnostic skills
  • Proficiency in Service Advisor and basic computer functions
  • Physical ability to lift 75 lbs repeatedly
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Preferred education in Heavy Equipment or Agricultural Technology
