About the Role

Porta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Food Safety and Quality Assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our night operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the maintenance and implementation of food safety protocols during night shift operations.
  • Conduct daily GMP checks, quality control activities, and complaint investigation support.
  • Develop and deliver training materials for night shift employees and reinforce knowledge of protocols.
  • Perform process checks throughout production, packaging, sanitation, and warehouse areas during night operations.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and address any deviations promptly.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food regulations (Safe Food for Canadians Act, Food and Drugs Act).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work night shifts and provide coverage as needed.
  • 3+ years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related role.
