At PR Pomeroy Restoration & Construction (BC) Inc, we are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will play a vital role in restoring and constructing residential and commercial properties.

About the Role

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for advancement. If you have a passion for working with your hands and taking pride in your work, this is an excellent opportunity to join our team.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing layouts according to building codes using measuring tools
  • Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working as a carpenter or in a related trade
  • Excellent hand tool skills and ability to work with power tools
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty environments, and outdoors
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel frequently
