Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Standard Truck & Crane Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Load and unload goods from our fleet of trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and transported to its destination.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of our trucks, including tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
  • Logistics and Communication: Receive and relay information to our central dispatch team, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and that any issues are promptly addressed.
  • Cargo Management: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Emergency Response: Perform emergency roadside repairs and respond to any issues that may arise during transportation.
Requirements
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Work Experience: Experience as a truck driver is an asset, but not required.
  • Work Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: Work a standard 40-hour week, with opportunities for overtime.
