Job Title: Associate Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Associate Director to join our team in Toronto, Ottawa, or Vancouver. As a key member of our Cost Planning division, you will be responsible for leading a team of cost management professionals and delivering high-quality estimates to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a cost management team to deliver high-quality estimates to clients
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Identify and act upon cross-selling opportunities
  • Lead proposals for new work or variations for existing commissions
  • Attend relevant networking events and other promotional opportunities
  • Staff management, including inputting into formal management of staff and recruitment interviews
  • Undertake staff performance reviews
  • Financial management, utilizing tools provided and keeping track of ongoing margin levels and monthly fee/resource forecasts for each commission
  • Delivery, producing real estate estimates in the CIQS elemental format, class D through to class A
Requirements:
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying and estimating
  • Recognized university degree
  • Certification in relevant professional organizations (CIQS/RICS)
  • Ability to quickly gain government of Canada security clearance (reliability level)
  • Competence in producing real estate estimates in the CIQS elemental format
  • Experience in providing quality assurance on estimates produced by team members
