We are seeking a skilled and energetic Retail Sales Associate - Merchandise Handler to join our team at Circle K. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and development.

The estimated salary range for this role is between $25,000 and $35,000 per year, depending on experience and location.

About the Role

This is a fast-paced retail environment where you will be responsible for operating cash registers, processing payments, and maintaining store displays. You will also play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, answering questions, and resolving issues.

You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of products, including food, beverages, and convenience items. You will also be responsible for receiving and stocking merchandise, maintaining store appearance, and participating in promotional activities.

As a Retail Sales Associate - Merchandise Handler, you will work in a dynamic and supportive team environment. You will be expected to maintain high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and productivity while working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Process payments, handle cash, and reconcile discrepancies
  • Maintain store displays, stock shelves, and ensure a clean and organized workspace
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answer questions, and resolve issues promptly
  • Participate in promotional activities, including setting up displays and promoting products
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and meet business objectives
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some post-secondary education or training an asset
  • 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly around the store
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a retail environment with frequent exposure to moderate noise levels, moving machinery, and changing temperatures. You must be able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and move quickly around the store.
