Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shunt Truck Driver to join our team at Transport Gaston Nadeau inc. as a Transportation Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, receiving and relaying information to central dispatch, and ensuring the safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Logistics
    • Drive manual transmission vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently.
    • Operate a shunt truck to move goods within the facility.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
    • Identify and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Relay information to central dispatch to ensure efficient communication.
    • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
    • Hold a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
