Job Title: Welding Technician

 

At Blue Zone Truck & Trailer Repair, we are looking for a skilled Welding Technician to join our team. As a Welding Technician, you will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Computer-aided design (CAD)
  • Determine weldability of materials
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment

 

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Physically demanding
  • Attention to detail
  • Sitting
  • Dusty
  • Noisy

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • Language of work: English
  • Hours of work: 30 to 40 hours per week
