About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with state hospital licensing and accreditation standards.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting coordination and facilitation of accreditation and regulatory work for hospitals within assigned networks. This includes identifying gaps in compliance, communicating high-risk compliance issues to leadership, and supporting local leaders and staff in understanding rules pertaining to their areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with regulatory teams, local leadership, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to provide oversight to ongoing regulatory readiness within the networks.
  • Conduct tracers, internal audits, and rounding activities to identify vulnerabilities and validate compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate information and reports to appropriate managers, committees, and leadership.
  • Proactively address accreditation and regulatory compliance issues, working with other departments/system staff to assign ownership and correct identified issues prior to external regulatory review.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An Associate Degree in a relevant field (e.g., RN or clinical background).
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in healthcare, regulatory, patient care, quality, or risk management.
  • PREFERRED: Knowledge of state, federal, and accreditation requirements, including but not limited to CMS Conditions of Participation for acute care and critical access hospitals, Accreditation standards, and other regulatory areas such as FDA and OSHA.

We offer a competitive salary range of $44.25 – $66.37 per hour, dependent on factors such as education, training, work experience, and seniority.
