We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Signal Maintainer/Journeyman Electrician to join our team at Siemens Mobility Limited. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our light rail traction power and overhead catenary systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications for light rail traction power and overhead catenary systems.
- Inspect and test electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with standards.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Work in a safe manner, maintain a safe and organized work area by observing all safety policies and procedures, applying safety training.
- Work collaboratively with other team members (track maintainers, systems technicians, etc.) in meeting standards and regulations.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all required information.
- On-call coverage for emergency response on a rotating basis.
Requirements:
- Powerline Technician Certification 434A and/or Journeyman Electrician Certification 309A.
- Safety oriented.
- A valid Class G Drivers License required, DZ Preferred.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
- Time Management.
- Organizational skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- College diploma in a related technical field (ex: telecommunications, electronics, etc.) is an asset.
