Job Description

Evertz is seeking a highly skilled Product Verification Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production suite, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our products.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough functional system level testing and validation of software and hardware for the DreamCatcher Production Suite.
  • Collaborate with the development team to plan tests through the product design cycle.
  • Generate and follow up on defects tracked in a project management database.
  • Create and update test procedures and conformance forms, and assist in updating product documentation.
  • Provide technical customer support, including problem replication and resolution.
  • Maintain lab testing equipment and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Assist with demo preparation.
  • Help identify, define, and design improvements for the product line.
Qualifications:
  • Work experience in a similar or related field, such as software validation, quality assurance, hardware validation, or system test engineering.
  • Degree or diploma in computer, electrical, or systems engineering, or broadcast television/film and/or media production is an asset.
  • Experience in data communication networks and associated protocols and technologies, such as TCP, UDP, multicasting, QoS, RTP, TLS, SNMP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, layer 2 and 3 switching, firewalls, NATs, and basic network security principles is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Linux is desirable.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and/or Testrail is an asset.
  • Understanding of video and compression is desirable.
  • Experience in dealing with in-house and/or external end customers is an asset.
