We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Administrator to join our team at Southpointe Academy. As a key member of our Home Team Medical Services, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals through timely responses to phone, fax, and email messages.
- Schedule and confirm appointments with patients, ensuring seamless communication and coordinated care.
- Process orders from team members, including requests for labs, imaging, and referrals.
- Liaise with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and community agencies to ensure efficient communication and care coordination.
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic medical records, running regular administrative reports as needed.
To succeed in this role, you will require strong verbal and written English skills, excellent organizational and time management abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite of software, particularly Excel, Outlook, and MS Teams. Experience with Oscar EMR is a significant asset.
Work Environment:This is a remote, work-from-home position, requiring applicants to be located in the Greater Victoria Area. In-person attendance at staff meetings up to once per week will be required.
Benefits:This role offers a competitive salary, commensurate with current industry rates and experience, as well as generous benefits, including Doctors of BC benefits for employees working greater than a 0.6 FTE, 4 weeks of paid vacation (3 weeks for the first year of employment), and paid sick days.
