Job Title: Senior Applications Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Developer to join our team at Axelon Canada. As a key member of our Applications Development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software applications to meet the business needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and IT planning to identify opportunities for application development.
  • Participate in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs.
  • Monitor and control all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
  • Provide user and operational support on applications to business users.
  • Recommend and develop security measures to ensure successful system design and functionality.
  • Consult with users and other technology groups on issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
Requirements:
  • At least 8 to 11 years of experience in hands-on application development.
  • Primary skill set: Java 17, Spring Boot 3.0, Angular 14+, JavaScript, PL/SQL (Oracle 19c), DB Design and Optimization, Microservices (Spring Boot), Web services, Design Patterns, Kafka, Elasticsearch.
  • Good to know: Spark, Nodejs, Jenkins, OpenShift, Autosys, Kafka.
  • Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
  • Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
  • Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods.
Education:

Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
