Job Summary:

Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team in a Casual Relief role at our Retail Pharmacy location. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and services, while upholding the highest standards of professional integrity and ethics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care and services, adhering to federal, provincial, and regulatory requirements.
  • Exercise professional judgment and practice within established standards of practice, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and community partners to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants in the delivery of medication and patient services.
  • Assist in the management of inventory, including the ordering of prescription and over-the-counter products.
  • Responsible for the procurement, safekeeping, and disbursement of narcotics and controlled substances.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Have experience working in a retail pharmacy setting.
  • Be licensed to practice pharmacy and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy with Additional Prescribing Authority (APA).
  • Canadian Diabetes Educator Certificate and Asthma Action Plan experience are assets.
  • Possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Be honest, trustworthy, and results-oriented, with a commitment to excellence.
