Job Summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in our manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and connect power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as relays, switches, and motors
  • Plan and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings
  • Maintain and troubleshoot presses and other manufacturing equipment
  • Work in a safe manner and adhere to company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Industrial Trade certification as Industrial Electrician and/or PLC certification
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
  • PLC and programming experience
  • Ability to create, manipulate, and follow robot programs for ABB, Fanuc, and Panasonic
  • Mig, Stick, and Tig welding
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic fundamentals and principles
  • Certification in one or more robot programming courses (ABB, Fanuc, Panasonic)
  • Experience with Labview is an asset
  • Experience with troubleshooting robots
  • Overhead crane license
  • Forklift license
  • Tier 1 automotive manufacturing experience
