About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at Carpet Colour Centre (Red Deer) Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality flooring installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered, measure and mark them accurately to ensure a precise fit.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding to ensure a smooth installation process.
  • Prepare Flooring Plans: Prepare detailed flooring plans and scheduling to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Install Flooring: Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors, walls, and other surfaces, using knee kickers and other equipment as needed.
  • Remove Existing Flooring: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants to prepare surfaces for new installations.
  • Install Specialized Flooring: Install outdoor carpets, materials on counter tops and raised platforms, and perform direct glue-down and double-bond carpet installations.
  • Read and Interpret Plans: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field.
  • Work Setting: Commercial and residential settings.
