Key Responsibilities- Operate machinery: Operate multi-functional process control machinery and single-function machines to process and package food products.
- Perform machine adjustments: Perform corrective machine adjustments to ensure optimal production levels.
- Record production data: Maintain shift logs of production and other data to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor processing conditions: Observe gauges, computer printouts, and video monitors to verify specified processing conditions.
- Clean and maintain equipment: Clean machines and immediate work areas to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
- Inform supervisor of issues: Inform supervisor of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Physical demands: Ability to handle heavy loads, work in a fast-paced environment, and perform repetitive tasks.
