Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced hematopathologist to join our team as a professor of pathology at McGill University. The successful candidate will be responsible for practicing primarily hematopathology and participating in a subspecialized surgical pathology service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Practice hematopathology and participate in a subspecialized surgical pathology service
  • Supervise lymphoma protocols and participate in hemato-oncology tumor boards
  • Maintain the highest standards of practice, including prompt delivery of services to match established performance indicators
  • Contribute to service activities within the department, the university, and the wider scholarly community

Requirements

  • Hold a medical degree and be eligible for licensure in the province of Quebec
  • Have completed subspecialty training in anatomical pathology and be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Have at least one year of training in hematological pathology and at least five years of experience in the field
  • Have a commitment to teaching and an interest in clinical research and publication
  • Have proven ability to work in a team and a strong track record of collegiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in another field of surgical pathology, including skin, head and neck, bone and soft tissue, and lung pathology
  • Additional expertise in molecular pathology, flow cytometry, and/or immunohistochemistry
  • Bilingual language skills (French and English) or a commitment to acquire the necessary language skills to practice medicine in Quebec
