Job Opportunity

Publicis Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Editor to join our team on a 1-year contract basis. This role is open to remote candidates.

About the Role

The Medical Editor will be responsible for reviewing and editing medical content to ensure it meets the rigorous standards of our clients' medical-legal committees, as well as Health Canada and the FDA. The successful candidate will work closely with our Copy, Creative, and Account Services teams to develop medically sound marketing content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create high-quality, medically accurate content
  • Review and edit medical content for accuracy, clarity, and regulatory compliance
  • Evaluate the credibility of sources and ensure that content is well-researched and up-to-date
  • Provide educational support to Publicis Health staff and freelancers on product research, claims limits, disease states, and regulatory standards
  • Review and revise content to ensure it meets client regulatory approval processes
  • Prepare to defend editorial content in front of client regulatory review committees
  • Support the work of copywriters by finding relevant medical literature
  • Vet, query, and address medical and regulatory feedback from clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in life sciences, or a degree in US/Canada regulatory affairs
  • 2+ years of experience in medical writing or editing
  • Familiarity with US and Canada pharmaceutical marketing formats and regulations
  • Familiarity with medical-legal review processes
  • Ability to supervise junior team members
  • Ability to read and interpret medical literature
  • Ability to search for relevant medical literature
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat, with knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint desirable
