Job Title: Tile Setter

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced tile setter to join our team at THE DESIGN AND DRAWING INC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tile setting, with experience working on various projects and locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tile Setting: Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, set tiles in place, and apply pressure to affix them to base.
• Surface Preparation: Align and straighten tiles, pack grout into joints between tiles, and remove excess grout.
• Maintenance and Repair: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, build underbeds, and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets.
• Material Handling: Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite, mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
• Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience as a tile setter is preferred.
• Work Setting: Various locations, physically demanding work environment.
• Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination.

Working Conditions and Salary:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $45,000-$60,000 per year, based on national averages and industry standards. This is a permanent, full-time position, with a standard 35-hour workweek.
