Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Brewery Controls Specialist to join our team at Labatt Breweries of Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading improvement initiatives related to Brewing departmental Key Performance Indicators, identifying opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality, and providing technical expertise to brewing and brewing maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead improvement initiatives related to Brewing departmental Key Performance Indicators to ensure targets are met.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
  • Provide technical expertise to brewing and brewing maintenance operations.
  • Conduct and assist in quality testing and assessments to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to the brewery network, brewing personnel, and department heads.
  • Develop and implement processes to control costs and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor supplier raw technical performance and material loss.
  • Support the engineering group in Capital projects related to the department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
  • 2+ years of experience in an industrial setting.
  • Associate Membership Exam from the Institute and Guild of Brewing (or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Strong leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and team orientation.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to extract, evaluate, and utilize data for process improvement from applicable systems.
  • Results-oriented with ability to provide strategic direction.
  • Understanding of the complete brewing process with state-of-the-art knowledge of specific areas of expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of quality, environment, and safety standards and regulations.
