About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crewing Coordinator to join our team at The CSL Group Inc. in Montreal, Canada. As a world-leading provider of marine dry bulk cargo handling and delivery services, we are committed to maintaining the complex machinery and arrays of conveyor belts to ensure safe and predictable operations.

This is a full-time, salaried position that requires a specialist with extensive experience in vessel equipment planned maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing next-generation processes for better managing our assets and increasing the reliability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement rotation schedules of ship personnel in accordance with CSL's procedures, specified experience and qualification requirements, established budget, Collective agreements, and Transport Canada regulations.
  • Consult with internal customers on crewing matters and provide support and assistance to shipboard senior management in the implementation of the collective agreement, safety, and on-board management.
  • Provide HR support to crew members for any questions regarding work schedule, return to work after injury/illness, discipline, and career development.
  • Responsible for accurate and up-to-date records of shipboard personnel and work in collaboration with shipboard and shore-based groups in the implementation of CSL's safety culture.
  • Respond to and deal with crew-related emergencies after hours and on weekends on a rotational basis and monitor and facilitate return to work programs.
Requirements
  • College diploma (DEC) in a relevant field such as Logistics.
  • Relevant experience in crew logistics or logistics and experience in a unionized environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, and fluent in French and English, verbal and written.
