Captain's Choice Lobster Limited: Fish Processing Labourer

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable individual to join our team as a Fish Processing Labourer at our fish processing plant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting fish and shellfish to the work area, conditioning fish filets for wrapping or freezing, and weighing and packing fish in ice.

Work Environment

Our work site environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. You will be working in a cold and wet environment with frequent exposure to odours and noise. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport fish and shellfish to the work area
  • Condition fish filets for wrapping or freezing
  • Weigh and pack fish in ice
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Sort fish according to species, weight, and destination
Requirements
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks and handle heavy loads
Working Conditions

Our working hours are 30-60 hours per week, and we are a seasonal employer. You must be legally able to work in Canada and have a strong understanding of English.
