We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at CGS Federal (Contact Government Services). As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems and infrastructure to support our government clients.
Key Responsibilities- System Design and Implementation: Design and implement scalable and secure systems and infrastructure to meet the needs of our clients.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex systems and infrastructure.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, project managers, and security teams, to ensure seamless project execution and effective communication.
- System Maintenance and Upgrades: Perform regular system maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in system engineering, technical support, and infrastructure management.
- Skills: Proficiency in data extraction, transformation, ETL processes, and testing tools; experience with Python, R, and SQL languages, Shell scripting, and various command line interfaces (Linux, AWS, Bash, etc.).
- Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Experience with DHS and knowledge of DHS standards: Familiarity with DHS standards and experience working with DHS clients is a plus.
- Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate technical terms to non-technical audiences.
- Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud computing platforms, especially AWS (Amazon Web Service).
- Virtualization Experience: Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Virtual Box.
