Job Summary:
Westlake is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lead Hand to join our production team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our production lines, maintaining high-quality standards, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and manage raw materials, ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficient material flow.
- Operate and maintain production equipment, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Conduct quality control checks, identifying and addressing any defects or issues that may impact product quality.
- Participate in process improvements, suggesting and implementing changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Assist in training and mentoring new team members, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and development.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes and quality control procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced production environment.
