About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Member to join our team at Skky Hotel. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the hotel are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs using industrial vacuum cleaners and power sweepers;
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers, ensuring they are properly disposed of;
  • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings to maintain a high level of cleanliness and presentation;
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs;
  • Work with contractors to ensure maintenance is carried out in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Supervise other workers as required to ensure tasks are completed efficiently;
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies as needed;
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair;
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens to maintain a pleasant environment;
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to prevent the spread of illness;
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure guest satisfaction;
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Degree in a related field or equivalent experience;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks;
  • Reliability and punctuality;
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays;
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. You must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects, bend, and kneel regularly. The successful candidate will also have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively under pressure.

Salary and Benefits
